Hooray For Google's Matt Cutts SEO Videos

Matt Cutts the rockstar of the SEO world has recently launched a series of very useful SEO Videos that he has posted on Google Video.

There is now a total of 8 SEO videos (2 launched this morning) where Matt answers various SEO related questions. You can find all of the videos under Matt Cutts label at Google Video.

Gmail Gearing Towards Full Launch?

Gmail, the web mail service provided to you by Google has been in its testing or beta phase for more than 2 years.

Since Gmail's unofficial launch in April of 2004, it has added tons of new features and has raised the invitations that come along with opening a new account from 4 to 50.

There has been no word of an official full launch date but with such new features as integrated Google Talk as well as automatic forwarding and an unprecedented 2746 MB of storage, you would think that a full release date should be right around the corner.

MSN Search Giving Away Market Share

Last night I noticed that MSN Search was down. When you would arrive at a search results page you were greeted by a "This service is unavailable" message followed by "Our team is working to restore services as Quickly as possible. Please try your request again later."

For a search giant like MSN to usher it's users to competitor websites like Google or Yahoo! is no way for them to win back it's market share.

This is not the first time that MSN search has gone down in the last short while back on June 5th, as pointed out in a blog post by Dave Davies of Beanstalk Search Engine Positioning entitled "That's the Way to Beat Google!!!".

Local Time Zone Support

Google has just announced that you now have the ability to set your local time zone for your Google AdWords Campaigns. There are two essential points that must not be ignored when initiating this new feature.

1. If you do not set your time zone by July 30th it will remain on the default setting which is Pacific Time.

2. You only have the option to set your time zone once, so be careful and take your time when doing so.

Google Steps on Some Toes With Google Spreadsheets

In the near future Google is planning to launch Google Spreadsheets. This new program will undoubtedly be integrated in to the AdWords interface. There are several individuals who will not be too happy with this new product including and probably above all Mr. Bill Gates. As stated by rustybrick over at Search Engine Roundtable their are many small companies who have developed web based alternatives to Microsoft Excel over the last few years who are also not going to be to happy with the launch of Google Spreadsheets.

Yahoo! & Ebay Partner Up

Yahoo! is set to be Ebay's exclusive provider for graphic ads throughout the entire auction site. In return Yahoo! has picked Ebay's PayPal to allow a means of payment for all Yahoo! web services.

This new partnership is a step in the right direction for Yahoo! to get back in contention with the likes of Google and Microsoft.
